Do I have a treat for you! The Contractor and I went to Muir Woods… and when I tell you it was a HUGE checkmark off of my bucket list, it is an understatement! This place is hard to put into words, so most of this blog is going to be video and pictures.
When you drive into Muir Woods, you have to make reservations for your parking because of the popularity of the park. Once you park, you enter into a wonderland of a scenery that will blow your mind. I will let this first video take over from here…
Here are some entry photos that we took – like I said, BLOW your mind with beauty!! This is not a test, it really is more beautiful than you can put into words or imagine!
The Contractor and I decided to take the Canopy Tour so we could walk above most of the noise of the other visitors. We could hear the hornets buzzing, and the sights were breathtaking – I know I use that word a lot in my blogging and videos, but it simply was! We came down from the canopy and found a redwood tree that was split in half and I got to get some photos in the center of it!
Below are a few of my favorite photos from our day at Muir Woods – trust me I have hundreds more, but I don’t want to put all of them on the blog and bore you.
If you ever get the chance to go to Muir Woods, GO! It was a spiritual experience. It was blissful and amazing. We hiked about two miles on the Canopy Tour and at least that around the park, so put on your walking shoes. I was very proud of myself – I had been saving up spoons for this special day for a while and it was well worth it!! For more detailed information than I am providing, go to Muir Woods National Park Website – they have every nitty gritty detail you could ever hope for!! I know I said this before, but put Muir Woods on you bucket list, it is simply breathtaking!!
That’s it for now
